To support an exciting and ambitious endeavour by the founder of Mesh Energy, Doug Johnson, to build a unique network of low-energy and sustainable building professionals.

Our work with Meshwork

We started at the very beginning – working with Doug and his team to build the Meshwork brand, which needed to feel somewhat familiar and connected to Mesh Energy but also stand alone as a well-defined entity.

We integrated the new brand into the existing Mesh Energy website, as well as building the community platform. Powered by Mighty Networks, we created a dedicated space for architects, developers, installers and students to come together and share knowledge and information.

By working closely with Meshwork and its members, we have been able to build a continuous pipeline of content which we produce with the existing team or with external suppliers. One week we may find ourselves editing an interview with a heat pump specialist, the next, helping to market an online webinar with structural engineers.

BUILDING A BRAND

The Meshwork brand utilises a similar typographical style to Mesh Energy, but breaks away with a new colour palette and a unique logo. The logomark itself, alongside the tagline ‘together for a better built environment’ demonstrates the importance of community within the brand and the platform, and this continues in the language and tone of voice used throughout Meshwork’s marketing.

BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE

In everything we do with Meshwork, we must think about scalability. The community is seeing exponential growth and this will only compound upon itself as more and more sustainable specialists join the platform. We must make sure that the older content remains discoverable and accessible to new members, as well as new content keeping longer-serving members engaged and active. We do this through a nimbe workflow with the Meshwork team and fast turnaround of content and assets when needed.

BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS

A huge part of the sustainability movement and B Corp (Mesh Energy are B Corp certified) is about knowledge sharing, co-support, and collaboration. Through Meshwork, we are meeting and working with many other sustainable specialists and regenerative businesses. A byproduct of this great client partnership is being able to support others on the journey to being better businesses, and helping companies and individuals to make more valuable connections.

The results

Two years in, the Meshwork community stands at over 1,500 members and counting. The platform now offers access to an unrivalled range of online events, videos, interviews, tools and downloads, engaging the community and helping them to contribute to rapid decarbonisation and more sustainable building practices.


With big plans to grow the community to 400,000 by 2030, we continue to drive the Meshwork community forward, regularly producing content through video, blogs, and articles, as well as working on the continuous development of the brand and relevant sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
