Avery & Brown Pledges Monthly Donation to Environmental Organisation ClientEarth

Russ Avery • Feb 17, 2023

We are thrilled to announce that we have started supporting ClientEarth with a monthly financial donation to support the incredible work they do.

ClientEarth uses "the power of the law to protect all life on Earth, combining thousands of individual voices into one powerful force for change." By combining thousands of individual voices into one powerful force for change, ClientEarth works in partnership across borders, systems, and sectors to inform, implement, and enforce the law.

At Avery & Brown, we are committed to walking the walk on regenerative business practices, meaning we're constantly looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact, support others, and create positive change. As a sustainable marketing agency, we're focused on helping our clients achieve their goals in a way that's mindful of the planet and its resources. We believe that businesses can be a force for good, and that we all have a responsibility to create a better world for future generations.

That's why we're proud to start supporting ClientEarth in their work. They're using the law to protect the environment and ensure that everyone has access to clean air, water, and a healthy planet. By working across borders, systems, and sectors, they're able to make a real difference and create positive change. We admire their commitment and dedication to the cause, and it's a privilege to be able to contribute to their mission in this small way.

On 9th February 2023, ClientEarth announced that it is taking Shell's Board of Directors to court for failing to move away from fossil fuels fast enough. This is the first ever case of its kind seeking to hold corporate directors personally liable. Read more about this here.

That recent news is one of many reasons why we're proud to support ClientEarth, as our visions are so closely aligned. We both believe that a future in which people and planet thrive together isn't just possible: it's essential. It's another great step on our regenerative business journey, which we call #OperationRegeneration.

London, UK (17 October 2023) Three UK Certified B Corporations have launched a new campaign celebrating 'Better Business Pioneers' – individuals in the workplace driving positive change in the face of inaction from world leaders. The campaign, which launches on Monday 23 October 2023, comes in response to the lack of progress on pressing global issues like climate change, biodiversity loss and social inequality. By spotlighting those already driving change, the campaign aims to counter climate doom, inspire more conscious actions, and showcase how we all have the power to shape a better future. The campaign is a collaboration between Avery & Brown, a sustainable brand, marketing and creative agency, The Better Business Network, an inclusive network for purpose-driven business owners and leaders, and OPEN Media, an out-of-home media owner, operating a portfolio of screens across the entire UK.

This is the first in a series of several blogs looking at key brands in the built environment sector and how they approach impact reporting. We’ll be looking at design, outcomes, metrics, audience, insights and much more. Impact reporting is a crucial activity for each and every organisation, but it can also be daunting and overwhelming for a business embarking on its first. The purpose of this blog series is to show the many ways that your company’s impact can be reported and what to look out for along the way. For instance, is an organisation acting upon its insights? Are they communicating their message clearly? And most importantly of all, are they doing it in a way that is sustainable?
