Avery & Brown to support MYTIME Young Carers throughout March

Levelling the playing field for young carers this March

Tim and I are delighted and excited in equal measure to be supporting a wonderful charity called MYTIME Young Carers throughout the whole of March through their #MYTIME2CARE campaign.

Did you know that there an estimated 700,000 young carers here in the UK? It's a mind-blowing figure and we are in awe about how selfless and amazing all of these young carers are - often missing out on the best parts of childhood to care for a sick or disabled relative.

MYTIME's mission is to level the playing field for young carers by providing them with the support, friendship and opportunities that every child deserves.

#MYTIME2CARE - a whole month of positive action!

On Tuesday 16th March, it is Young Carers Action Day. But the lovely team at MYTIME Young Carers, believe that every day should be a Young Carers Action day! So this March, they are inviting people to join them in taking action for an entire month to show that they care about young carers' experiences.

So that's exactly what we're going to do!

By following the MYTIME2CARE Calendar (see below), we will be taking a new positive action every single day throughout March. These actions will encourage us both to care even more for ourselves, family, friends and community. As MYTIME say themselves: "When care, kindness and looking after our mental health have become so important, we could not think of a better way to take action."

Make sure you follow us both on our social media channels (Russ = @therussavery Tim = @the.tim.brown Company = @averyandbrown) because we'll be sharing what we're up to throughout March!

And perhaps most importantly of all...

This isn't about us - this is about MYTIME Young Carers! So please make sure you learn more about them by checking out their website here and following them on Instagram @mytimeyoungcarers. They do amazing work and they need our support!

London, UK (17 October 2023) Three UK Certified B Corporations have launched a new campaign celebrating 'Better Business Pioneers' – individuals in the workplace driving positive change in the face of inaction from world leaders. The campaign, which launches on Monday 23 October 2023, comes in response to the lack of progress on pressing global issues like climate change, biodiversity loss and social inequality. By spotlighting those already driving change, the campaign aims to counter climate doom, inspire more conscious actions, and showcase how we all have the power to shape a better future. The campaign is a collaboration between Avery & Brown, a sustainable brand, marketing and creative agency, The Better Business Network, an inclusive network for purpose-driven business owners and leaders, and OPEN Media, an out-of-home media owner, operating a portfolio of screens across the entire UK.

This is the first in a series of several blogs looking at key brands in the built environment sector and how they approach impact reporting. We’ll be looking at design, outcomes, metrics, audience, insights and much more. Impact reporting is a crucial activity for each and every organisation, but it can also be daunting and overwhelming for a business embarking on its first. The purpose of this blog series is to show the many ways that your company’s impact can be reported and what to look out for along the way. For instance, is an organisation acting upon its insights? Are they communicating their message clearly? And most importantly of all, are they doing it in a way that is sustainable?
